This is the third lesson in a series of 3 lessons on writing instructions. This file includes a detailed teacher's lesson plan, 25 title cards (one set in b/w and one in color), a blank instruction book to print and make, my "check your work" poster printable, a rubric for grading the finished projects and instructions for my Pair and Share editing procedure (because who has time to meet with 25 students during a 30 minute writing lesson?).
This lesson works best if at least one of the previous writing instructions lesson has been used to build background knowledge. However, depending on your grade level, it can stand alone.
This is one part of my writing program, Write My Way... lessons for beginning writers. Lessons are being offered individually or bundled together by month. This lesson is included in the January bundle (see my writing products category on TPT).
