We're going on a bear hunt....your students will be, that is! Your Write the Room Literacy Center will be so much fun with this activity. There are 18 theme words written on 'caves' - I have included 2 sets - one with just the word and the other with the picture next to the word (so your students can 'read' it). Simply hide the cave pictures all around your room, attach a worksheet to a clipboard and have your students search for the words around the room and record their answers. This is a great way to build vocabulary and encourage students of all levels to practice writing skills. The worksheets are all differentiated to suit your students needs.
This activity goes well with my Bears Literacy and Math Activities unit.

Hi Alessia
I am so excited as I prep the Bears unit that I am thinking about your Write the Room. I am wondering about a Canadian version of either the Bears Write the Room or the entire set. Does one exist?
Also, before I buy an individual one any chance you will catch the American "Black Friday" fever and have a sale as I might wait and buy the full set if so.
Hi Tracey! Thanks for the sweet comment...yes, I do have the Write the Room sets with the Canadian spellings (only a few words in each set change). I don't sell them as most of my customers are from the US but if you do buy a set or all of them, please let me know and I can send them to you via e-mail. I will be joining in on the Cyber Monday sale next week in case you want to stock up your cart now. Thanks so much! :)
