My students love to write the room, but when I looked around my classroom, I did not see as much print as they needed to "write the room." So I created picture and word cards that were designed to follow our weekly phonics skills. All you do is place these cards in random areas on the walls, furniture, doors, etc. in your room and the students walk around, find the word cards and write the words onto their list. This set contains 4 picture and word cards for each of the short vowel families- at, an, am, ag, et, en, ed, est, ig, it, ip, in, ot, op, og, ock, ug, un, um, ub, and ut. I have made two sets, one with the whole word and one set with the word family letters missing to provide differentiation. There are three types of recording sheets. I sell additional packets for the letters Aa-Gg, letters Hh-Nn, and letters Oo-Uu, and letters Vv through Zz

Grades Taught:
I have been teaching since 1993. I have taught first grade for 8 years and kindergarten for 6 years. I have helped to write the curriculum for kindergarten and first grade for our school system (1997-1999) and I have mentored new teachers and many university students who are now teaching!
