This writing goals bulletin board allows you to post the conventions and grammar goals you have for students. Once it is placed on your bulletin board, you expect it to be done with independence. Have students choose 1-2 key goals and post their names beside of the goals to further help students build independence. Examples include using end sentence punctuation, using paragraphs to separate ideas, etc. I looked through 1st-7th grade common core conventions goals.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 8th year of teaching. Most of my teaching experience has been in 5th grade, but I taught 4th grade for two years and looped with those classes. I have a masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading and received National Boards Certification in Middle Childhood. Being an elementary teacher, I teach all subject areas and think about ways to engage children in content through collaboration and discussion.
