This six page document contains 250+ writing prompts. These are prompts I have used over the years in our writer's notebook and can be used for a few minutes of brainstorming to several class periods, depending on the needs of the teacher. Using these prompts on a daily basis creates a habit of writing and energizes creativity. Prompts are also broken into traits for targeted skills (word choice, sentence fluency, etc.) Essay prompts are based on student interest.
