An easy way to manage your classroom writing project!!!
The toughest things for a teacher to do in writing is to successfully conference with and manage 20+ students as they each write at a different pace. This writing checklist allowed me to be an effective teacher (and saved my sanity) and it can do the same for you!
Easy to use for ANY writing assignment/project! This front-and-back worksheet allows students to work at their own pace and prompts them when to come conference with you.
It covers the first draft, revising process, editing process, and the final draft.
Each stage has a detailed checklist of things that the writer must do before that section can be completed (ex: the revising stage includes checking to make sure that the story starts out with a bang, starting sentences in different ways, adding 3-5 more adjectives, etc...)
Student must have a signature from you after each stage to continue to the next step.
You can EASILY add to, or subtract from each stage to make the checklist fit your particular writing requirements.
