This writing rubric is best used in the middle of the year in Kindergarten to First Grade. The rubric includes:
1. Did you start with a capital letter?
2. Did you leave spaces between words?
3. Did you end with a punctuation mark?
It can be used as a poster or as a reference for minilessons for Writer's Workshop.
This can be uploaded to Vistaprint to make various items. I used the rubric to make a free poster and free business cards so the children have a reference of their own. If you decide to use Vistaprint, please use the following URL: http://vistaprint.tellapal.com/a/clk/10FMLP .

I am setting up my resources for writing into a notebook and this will go perfectly with my setup for my kindergartners and I plan to use it often!

Lori, I sent this home to be used with my Sentence Writing Homework kit (portable word wall, and daily sentence writing instructions).
It will be very helpful to my parents.
At school, my Kinders have them in sheet protectors located in their Work Baskets. I can't thank you enough for this wonderful resource.
