Kindergartners and First Graders love to write! Friends' names, word wall words, color words, number words, shopping lists, sentences. You name it, they'll write it! This packet contains 17 different writing activities for your students to practice during station time, for group activities, or independent learning. They also fit well with the Daily 5. I like to use them also for my "fast finishers." Those children who always finish their activities way before anyone else! We all have them! Now we can give them something fun to do. They'll be no complaining as they walk around the room, copying words, writing sentences, and drawing pictures. A must have for any classroom.

Activities include:

-writing color words, number words, friends' names, and words that begin with certain letters of the alphabet

-word wall practice

-word searches

-surveys

-writing / illustrating lists

-labeling (make your own)

-using describing words

-tree maps (make your own)

-nouns

I bought both of your writing packs. I noticed when I was on a site or blog that you had signs posted above your writing center. I thought they were in what I had purchased, but they were not. Can you tell me what they are called so I can search for them? They were colored signs that told what activities were in the center. Thanks!

Thanks for your product! I have a question about how to use the pages with words are, can and how and the flower at the top. What do you do with those pages? I am confused..

Those are tree maps. If you do them often enough together, the children can do them on their own. For example, they can write in 'School'. Then, they would list things that school is, can, and has. I use it a lot to reinforce nouns. They write in a person, place, thing, animal, or idea, and then fill in the bottom portion. I hope this helps!

Have you thought about making a set like this for 2nd/3rd grade? I would be very interested in it! I love how you organize this set as an early finishers activity! I would love to do something like that in my 3rd grade classroom!

It's funny, but I've been asked this question many times about a lot of my products. You see, I only create what I use in my classroom and since I don't teach third grade, most of my products are geared towards K-2. I'm not even sure I'd know what to include in a packet for third graders! If you email me any ideas you have, I'll see what I can do! LOL!

I purchased "Writing Stations Activities for Young Learners" and am still unable to find the "Do you use.." survey.

Are you actually referring to the "Do You Like"? There are two or three of them in that pack. If not, can you email me the image that you're talking about? Thanks!
