Teaching first graders how to write and how to revise their writing has been quite of a challenge for all first grade teachers I have had the opportunity to talk to (not to mention myself!!!) These AWESOME HELPER HANDS have been my life savers in my class, I created them based on my student's needs and we have made lots of progress in writing. This set includes a helping hand with transition words and another one with a writing checklist. This set also includes a mini-version so each student can keep their own. The set includes a Spanish version of the words and the checklist.
They are very easy to assemble, just cut them, glue them back to back, insert a popsicle stick (or any sort of handle) and you are ready to go!! You might want to laminate for durability purposes.
Transition Words included:
-Title,First, Next, Then, Last.
-Titulo, Primero, Despues, Luego, Finalmente.
Checklist:
Did I...? Write a title, use capital letters, use spaces between words, use punctuation marks, reread my writing.
Mi texto... Tiene un titulo, tienen letras mayusculas, tiene espacios entre palabras, tiene signos de pountuacion, tiene sentido?
