PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this writing mini-lesson students will create their own pumpkin with personality and fun characteristics! Choose from the eyes, noses and mouths included in this unit or have your kiddos create their own! Either way your students will be actively engaged with this project!

After reading the story Spookley the Square pumpkin, have your students create their own odd shaped pumpkin out of construction paper and then write a descriptive piece about their pumpkin. Allowing your students the freedom to choose their own color and shape for a pumpkin and then having them describe it will give them some practice writing with descriptive words!

This pumpkin will be their own creation which will give them more motivation to describe their pumpkin with a lot of detail!

Happy writing,
Paula
