These cards are great to add to your word work center or your writing center. Students can practice writing the words with play-doh, magnetic letters, on white boards etc. They can also use these words while they are writing stories, cards, and lots more!
Just cut the cards apart on the lines, punch a hole in the corners, and add them to a binder ring :)
I'm not a teacher, just a mom... but I am LOVING these cards! I especially love the ones with the picture next to them... perfect for my prek child. I'll be using the rainbow cards for my soon to be 1st grade child. I don't want her to forget anything! THANK YOU!!!

I will love to use these in addition to my word wall
My kids love these. I have made 12 sets for my students . One set sits on every table during writing time. They asked me if their would be a spring and summer set and so now i'm asking you. Will their be a spring and summer set to add to my seasons ring?
What a great idea!!! I think I added some haha they should be in the pack!!! But you never know...I may be crazy ;) will you re-download the pack and see if they are in there. I think I put beach words and BBQ words and that kind of thing!!
These word work cards are adorable and effective! My students get so excited when I bring them out along with our special dry erase boards. I also really appreciate how compact they are. I laminate them, punch a hole, and connect them with a binder clip. This is a HUGE plus since I have a TINY classroom.
I LOVE your stuff! Thank you so much for making this available to us!

I LOVE this word pack. It is perfect for my kids when they are writing. It's small, and words are organized well, and the pics help my not so great readers. I love getting the new pages every month. Thanks so much for all your hard work.

I am actually not adding to this pack anymore! Sorry!! I figured beach and BBQ were good for summer and plants and weather and those were good for spring??

Caitlin, I can't download the free downloads writing centre as I don't have your permission - what do I do to get this? Thanks, it looks great!
Jane Vladich
Sometimes that is just a computer issue. Make sure you have an updated adobe :) if you do then go to your downloads on your computer, find the work work file, drag it to your desktop and save it from there! :)

Thank you for your adorable word work cards. I absolutely love them. I was wondering if I could trouble you to make a set that states "read" instead of "spell" or "read and spell" (ie. "I can read and spell my ... words" or "Look what I can read and spell"). I will gladly pay you for this. Thanks!
Hi Caitlin,
I was wondering if you could add days of the week and months to your Word Word cards. I would also love body parts. These will be a great addition to my writing center.
Thanks, Linda lott@telus.net
I will see about that :) right now I am just going to add a page a month with monthly themes :) thanks for the idea though!

Caitlin,
Do you have any word work cards for Valentines day, Easter, or St. Patrick's day? How about summer /spring words? Body parts? I just love the graphics!
Eagerly awaiting your reply,
Dawn @ dschaums22@aol.com
Hi! Caitlin. Your resources are awesome!!!! I am a dual language teacher and I teach first grade reading in Spanish. I came across your Writing and Word Works Cards. They are totally wonderful, but sadly they come only in English. Would it be possible to send me an editable file. I am willing to translate all of them and send them back to you. Many Spanish language teacher would greatly benefit from this resource in Spanish!!!
I am so sorry! I can't send the file in an editable version because of the copyright laws with the fonts/graphics :(

Hi Caitlin...I do need more help. I was unable to drag the download to my desktop & then save...:( I've tried several times w/o success...hmmmmmmm...Thanks...Susan
hi, caitlin.....thanks for this freebie! For some reason i couldn't save these on my desktop.....a prompt appears and it's asking me to enter the owner's password.....please help.....thanks!
Make sure it is opening with Adobe and not with Preview. If you are then here are steps you can do to save it (one of these always works): First, if it is opened in Adobe go to file, save AS, pdf, and save from there. If that doesn't work go to the 'finder' on your computer where all of your downloads are automatically stored, find the file, drag it to your desktop, and save from there! Let me know if you need any more help!
Hi Caitlin!
I love all of your products!
I teach students with Autism and they love using these word rings you have made. I do have one student who has a vision impairment. He can only see 28pt. fonts and higher. I was wondering if you offer this product in a 28pt. font. I would be willing to pay you! Thanks!
Love these! However, I noticed the spelling was grey instead of gray. I may be wrong, but I thought it was spelled gray. If so, is there a way to get a copy with that spelling? If not, I can use a sharpie to change it.
How Mrs. Clabby I have dowload your writing and word work free file but it doesn't let me print because it says it needs a password. Could you help me?
Sometimes different computers do that and I really am not sure why! There are a couple things you can try though! First, make sure it is opening in Adobe and not in preview. If it is opened in Adobe go to file, save AS, pdf, and save from there. If that doesn't work go to the 'finder' on your computer where all of your downloads are automatically stored, find the bats file, drag it to your desktop, and save from there! Let me know if you need any more help!

I am also having a problem downloading and saving on a Mac using Safari. It says that I need a password to save it. Where is your blog? How can I follow you? I would love to have updates to these pages.
Here is the link to my blog: http://kindergartensmiles.blogspot.com
Also, make sure you are opening it in Adobe and not Preview. Then go to save as, pdf, and save. If that doesn't work on your Mac go to the finder (the little blue face thing on the bottom of your desktop), click on downloads, and find the file. Then drag it to your desktop and save from there! That always work for me :)

This is for abcsam: I think I figured out the saving and password request problem. This was happening to me too. I am on a Mac and was using Firefox. My computer wouldn't let me chose save as or let me move it from the downloads folder.
So, I switched to downloading with Safari and then it let me move the download from my downloads folder to the desktop and save in a folder from there. Good luck!
To Caitlin: Thank you! These will be great for writing and ELD!
Thanks so much for letting me know that little tip! :) I use Safari so I would have never known that!

Hello!
I love your Writing and Word Work Cards and would like to use them, but it says I need a password to copy.
I did read your responses here, but the demand for a password comes up before you can choose "save as" and before it actually downloads to anywhere (it just opens as a preview). I am on a Mac. Maybe you could just mail me them? samrwebster@yahoo.ca.
Sorry to be such a bother, but I know my kids would use these!!
thanks,
sam
I just got a great tip above and this worked for them, they switched to downloading with Safari and then it let them move the download from their downloads folder to the desktop and save in a folder from there. (instead of using Firefox) Hope this helps!!!

Hello,
Just wondering if it is possible to edit these? We use similar words, but in a different order and I wanted to see if I could revise some of these lists. Please advise.
Sorry, I can't make them editable because of the copyright laws with the graphics that are on the cards.

Your idea is wonderful. I will pass it along to my kindergarten and grade one teachers. Most of the children coming into our school are ESL learners, French being their first language.
Just a little comment: You wrote "wa-la" in your instructions. I am guessing it is an expression you have heard, but have never seen written. It is the French word "voilĂ ", which sometimes is written in English without the accent - voila!
Thanks for the comment and email :) I actually do know the French word voila :) I was writing it how I actually say it--it is so me--but I understand that you don't actually know me! I changed it to Ta-da so it wouldn't be bothersome :)

Gracias!

I also scrolled at the bottom of the free download page on some of your other free downloads and it wouldn't let me download the Making Words with Magnet Letters. Please help! Thanks!
So sorry you are having trouble! Sometimes computers do that, but you don't need a password. Try these two things: When the file is open go to file, save AS (not save), PDF, then save it that way. OR open up your finder, go to downloads (where all your downloads on your computer are), then find the writing/word work file and drag it to your desktop. You can save it from there :) Hope that works!! One of them should :)
