This is a complete lesson plan on writing the equation of a line (in Slope-Intercept form) when given the graph of a line. Students will find the y-intercept of the line, then find the slope (by counting or by using the Slope Formula) and substitute the values into the equation of a line.

This lesson includes a warm-up activity, minilesson with guided steps through the process, examples, class activities and a worksheet for homework. Answer keys included.

Common Core Standards for 8th grade and high school included on the cover page.

I have another lesson posted in my store on finding the equation of a line when given one or two ordered pairs.

NOTE: You may need Equation Editor or MathType to make changes to some of the fractions.

Hello mlrodgers, sorry to hear that you're having trouble downloading the file. My only advice would be to keep trying. At least 600 people have downloaded the lesson so far today and some left comments so I know it's available. It may be a connection or server problem. I hope that you're able to download. Joe
