Diane Mierzwik is a Southern California program coordinator for Contra Costa County Office of Education’s California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation program. The majority of her duties include supervising and supporting teachers under her immediate supervision inside jail facilities and at parole offices and revising curriculum to enhance student success. The program is data driven which dictates that teachers are utilizing the most effective evidence-based strategies available. In her eighteen years of teaching, she has had experience with first through twelfth graders. She has been the Gifted And Talented Education coordinator, Leadership team member, Department Head, a mentor teacher, completed the Inland Empire Writing Project, and served as a Language Arts consultant for the California Language Arts Project.
