This Language Arts unit contains lots of student practice recognizing and using adverbs. There is a mini-lesson about adverbs, an adverb-adjective sort with a recording sheet, writing adverbs in a sentence, Finding the adverbs in a sentence, creating adverbs by adding -ly to the end of adjectives, and practice using adverbs that tell how. These activities can be used as centers, small group work, independent work, as a needs based group activity, or can be used with a document camera to create a whole group activity. The unit has lots of color graphics and students will enjoy the cowboy themed activities while learning about adverbs. Lots of fun!! Covers Common Core Standards for 2nd Grade Language Arts.
