This is a mini lesson I did with my grade 2's. At the beginning I get them to think about the symbols found in different fairy tales (activate prior knowledge) and then I did a variety of different activities after reading different fairy tales like writing a letter or reviewing a story. Worksheets that go with some of the activities are found in my file What are fairy tales?
