The perfect early finisher activity that will keep your students engaged and involved in meaningful standards based instruction. These centers are perfect for 1st-5th. If you use my month-by-month centers, these will fit right in during the month of April. If you do not use my month-to-month centers, these will be perfect for a change, or can be incorporated all year!

Get ready...get set...for the easiest math centers you have ever laid your eyes on! As a teacher, I try very hard to create meaningful centers that require my students to apply new skills all while participating in fun and engaging activities. Independent centers are a great way to see a student's application of skills. Centers are GREAT! The preparation, however is not always the favorite for many teachers.

If you love the thought of engaging math centers, but you do not love the thought of all of the preparation, these math centers are just for you! This unit includes 14 math centers (you can use some or all) that will have your students practicing basic skills such as addition, subtraction, place value and much more! The best part...the only preparation needed - cut out your students' number cards (which could technically be cut by the students).

Directions for each activity are located on the response sheets. During each activity, the students will be using their number cards to create and manipulate numbers. This means that the level of difficulty all depends on the student. They can create one, two, three or four digit numbers (or greater). Students can work in partners or independently to complete their centers. You can have 1-2 centers per week or introduce them all and allow students to choose which center they complete each day.

Included:
-Can't Top It
-Addition
-You Found It...You Round It

-Multiplication
-Division
-Place Value

-Number Words
-Number Order
-Count 'Em Up Money Sticks

I just bought the imath centers...love them!!
Would it be possible for you to include the "teens" number words on the number words sheet?
I know my second graders would need a reference for writing numbers 11-19.

Hello! Love your stuff! I was hoping to get the whole year of math centers in a bundle? Can/do you have that? Thanks!

I have tried and tried to fit them all in to one bundle! However, the files are WAY too large! I have managed to bundle them into three different files! I hope this helps! :) Thanks for being so sweet! ;)

Hello. I teach 6th grade. Would your centers be too young for them?

Thanks,
Melissa

Hi Melissa, I am going to send you a sample. I would be curious to know how I could change it to better meet the needs of older students. Let me know your thoughts! :)

When I zip them, I put them in a folder and then zip the entire folder. Yours might be too big to put in one file so maybe 2 sets (August - December; January - May). Not sure if that will work. Thanks Hope!

Hey Hope! Your math centers look amazing. I was wondering if you had any plans to bundle the centers for the entire year. Thanks!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Grades Taught:
Subject Area:

During my short teaching career, I have never stayed in one place too long! :) I've been teaching for six years - 4 years in 1st grade,1 year in 2nd, and have now moved on to 3rd grade just this year. Looping has presented many challenges, but I have enjoyed all of the wonderful experiences that this model of teaching can offer. I adore my job and am always looking for ways to improve my instruction in the classroom. I have quickly learned that when you make learning magical, that is when it truly sticks for the "long haul". I enjoy creating resources that bring learning to life in my classroom, and I am so excited to be able to offer a little piece of that to you here on TPT. Happy Teaching! :)
