This is a great idea and of course teaching in context is the way to go. The banner heading with the featured roots is very clear. The humorous touches are terrific. I love the "Other Cool Words" feature at the end, too. You could add extension ideas for students (or teachers) for students to write their own sentences using the words and so on. Thanks for the freebie.

Hello, David, You asked for feedback on the 'Roots and Affixes' download. I love the cartoon format, but, unfortunately, these cartoons would be a little too 'childish' for my 16-18 year olds with learning difficulties - great for a younger age group, though. Your 'Grammar' cartoons have gone down well with my students - they seemed aimed at a slightly older group. Great stuff!

Could you let me know when you have more on this topic? I teach science and am always amazed that students in 6-8th grades have not been taught to use prefixes, etc. to unlock words, especially the Latin and Greek in science vocabulary. Thanks.
