Thank you for providing an extensive list that I can use into the junior years too. I don't see patterns or anything in the lists. Is there a rhyme or reason to them, or just site words in random lists? (That's not meant to sound as a criticism. I'm actually wondering where you got the list words)

Thanks for purchasing my product. The words were acquired from SPELLWRITE based on the most commonly used words - so yes, they are sight words but they have been levelled as per use in reading material etc. They are also supported at SPELLING CITY if you locate my account (Wendy Stafford). I do have phonic lists as well if you're intersted.
The coloured lists (for juniors) focus on the key words used in their reading levels... the colours match our reading levels in NZ, I'm sure the word lists will be similar for you.

My name is Wendy Stafford, a teacher in New Zealand. As a trained teacher in the 21st Century and a parent of two dyslexic boys, Aunty, mother and teacher of Autistic children with Sensory Processing Disorders (Asbergers, ADHD and Autism) I have dedicated many years to researching literacy learning programmes that cater for all children in a whole class setting, incorporating learning styles, multi media and that promote independence.
