Thank you for your kind feedback! I will be updating the package in the next few days. I created a new word search activity. Our students cut out the letters from the words you typed in and glue the letters on a board to create a word search! It worked rather well so I am adding it as an additional activity.

If you need extra help besides the written instructions included with the download package, we have a video on how to start using the Factory to create your spelling packets. It really should take less than 10 minutes to start creating your first packet for your classes.

It works with CS5, the lesson uses basic Photoshop functions that have not changed in CS6. Of course the pallets look different but if you use the Menu bar then it's the same. I don't have CS6, I am currently working with CS5 and it works fine with CS5, I didn't have to change anything. When do you need this by? I can update the screens with CS5 in the next couple of days and update the file if you are interested.

When you open the file called spelling_packet_factory a message appears "Opening this document will run the following SQL command", click Yes on this box. In essence this is asking you where the file with the spelling list is located. It should be in the same folder as the spelling_packet_factory but it is called add_words_here. If you followed the instructions then you should click on to the Desktop or your My Documents folder. There you will find the spelling_packet_factory yellow folder. Double-click the folder then double-click the add_words_here file and you should see the words in the template from the list at the top (list 1). Let me know if this helps or email me directly at migbos12@yahoo.com. I will be posting a video on Monday afternoon and I can send you the link.

CS3,CS4 and CS5 are very similar. I have used my lessons with students using CS3, CS4, and CS5. I have a student with CS6 that was also able to follow along but I have not confirmed this. I teach mostly high school students with these lessons 9-12th. I have used the lessons below with 6,7, and 8th graders also. They are all available on the Photoshop for teens DVD or you can purchase them separately.
1. Make a simple collage
2. Your Favorites Flyer
3. Creating an iPod ad
4.Terror castle
5. Create a water reflection with your image
6. Create a comic out of your picture.
If you are going to teach your students step by step then I would use the majority of the lessons with the students once they know how to use the Internet and save files. I don't know how much you have to teach but a basic intro to Photoshop can be done with these 6 lessons. The following tools are covered: move tool, marquee tool, paint bucket, text tool, filters, crop tool, erasers, rectangle tool, and custom shapes. That is all included in those six lessons! If you purchase the DVD then there are a total of 14 lessons that include even more material. It also includes a rubric and some quiz ideas, and a Toolbox Sheet to label.

I just downloaded it without signing into TpT and it worked just fine. If the video is not playing then you might have an old version of Adobe Reader and need to update it at http://get.adobe.com/reader/
If nothing is downloading then it might be a problem with your browser because I was able to download with Internet Explorer and Firefox.
