My students loved the pictures, especially Scooby Doo and Return of the Jedi! It gave them something to connect it to. When rwe eviewed the words a few days later, many of them used the pictures to help them remember the definition.

Could you tell me what you have available for 4th grade HM (I saw what you had posted) and what you would charge for a package of these items that relate to HM 4th and the State review materials. I could not preview your review items for synonyms etc, but it sounded like it would meet my needs for differentiating the instructions for my multi-level class. MANY THANKS!!!!! Hi there! I'm glad to see you are interested in the 4th grade materials. I post the items I find useful in my class only and try my very best to keep costs low to fellow teachers. I really want others to find the same use I do. I have 16 items for 4th grade alone plus 2 really good State Test Prep materials. Prices range from $2.50 to $1.50. For all of the materials I have, I could give you a package price of $25 (about 25% discount). I would have to email the items to your email after payment because TPT doesn't allow transfer for such large items, being that they are powerpoints. If you feel comfortable, let me know. I would love to purcahse any items you have on all 5th grade HM stories. Where can I find them? Having taught kinder for about 7 years, the 5th grade curriculum is very foreign to me. Also, any resources you can point me to in regards to teaching how to write essays? I have no problems writing myself but teaching it is something else.

So I just purchased your most recent tests. Is there anyway you might submit your assessments for the first couple of stories? I didn't buy them the first time because I really wanted something that was consistent. If you do decide to put an entire file together for all the fourth grade assessments, I would be first in line!

I don't have assessments for all the HM stories :( I started making them myself by mid-year because I was unsatisfied with them. I have thought of creating assessments for all of 4th grade and seling it as one large assessment file. I know that for 5th grade HM I will be doing that for this school year. I will take a look at 4th grade sometime this week and see what I can put together.

I have seen great success with my students using powerpoints for vocabulary building for limited English speakers and for all children in general. I used to spend literally 40 minutes a day on the same dozen or so vocabulary words and would get the same results week after week. Tired of seeing my autistic student continually fail in vocabulary as well as my struggling readers, I created these powerpoints and immediately saw a turn around in performance! Enjoy!
