TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my thirteenth year teaching in a variety of settings. I have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction and a reading endorsement as well as TESOL training. Currently, I am a Reading Recovery and LLI Reading Intervention teacher but I also teach ESL students. I am in my dream job!! I love being a part of the TPT community. It's a great place to network, learn new ideas, and meet other teachers too.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I am always firm, but a kind and warm teacher. My students come from a low SES status and they need kindness but rules as well. I love kids and teaching and I am a very optimistic person!!
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I went to a small college and earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees there. My original certification is K-8, with a reading endorsement. I have also taken the courses and passed the praxis for my TESOL endorsement. I just need to send the paperwork into the state to get the endorsement offcially added to my license.
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
I am a nice person and I love what I do!! Oh, and I also love reading and poetry and nature!!
