Hi,
My PC just asks if I want to open or save the file and then I click on open and it automatically unzips the file. Inside are folders labeled Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Visual Arts along with a Word document, which is the lesson plan. If you saved it and it still has the zipper image on the folder you should be able to right click and choose Extract All. Email me at sabrinawingren@mac.com if you are still having problems!

FYI- the word "to" seems to be missing on last slide in powerpoint? "I had to doodle for hours."

Hi again,
Those files are updated, so you should be able to download them again. Let me know if you have any issues. On the first sheet it said eight lines, meaning both of the doodle sheets as they were designed to go together. It is a zipped file. You just need to unzip it to open the documents. To unzip a file on a PC, right click the file and then click Extract on the shortcut menu. The files are pdf's, so they will open without a problem. If you have any issues at all with the PowerPoint please just send your email address and I will correct them. Please let me know if you are still having problems extracting the files from the zipped file.

I thought this form provided an outline for very thorough and helpful information for subs. As a future 6th grade teacher that is currently subbing, I know that a lot of secondary teachers forget the small details like lunch procedures, etc. Although some of the spots on this form are unnecessary as a secondary teacher, I like that it has a nice outline of areas that I need to remember to leave information about for my sub.

MY TEACHING STYLE
I often incorporate technology into my lesson plans. I love using QuickTime movies as anticipatory sets to get students engaged and help jump start their creativity I believe art isn't just about the mediums but more importantly about creative problem solving skills. These skills benefit all students, whatever it is they want to become. With Common Core coming through our school systems art can be one of the best places for children to apply math and creative thinking skills.
