Hello! I glued the 3 bottom flowers directly onto the top row of the pot. I used scrap paper behind them to glue on the top two flowers, although I'm sure you could get away with just gluing them on top of the bottom flowers.

The reason there is no name line is that I used every ounce of paper to write the passages and open-ended questions and I just couldn't fine the space for a name line. When I did try to squeeze it in, it was cut off in print preview. I just have my kiddos write their name on it in an open space the moment they get it. I'm playing around with the format for the summer ones, so if I can figure it out I will update the other editions. Thanks for your question!

Do you find that these passages are too difficult for any of your second graders? I use these for morning work and I have maybe two kids who can't do them independently. I've been putting out some 1st grade passages for them. I was wondering what you do? BTW I love these. The stories and questions are fabulous!

Hi! I would say that I definitely have students who find some of the passages difficult. I use them primarily for independent work and I tend to give different passages to different students based on how difficult I think they are. That being said, I like that some of them are challenged by the passages! I'm glad you like this product...thanks so much for letting me know!

Hi again! I appreciate the labels! Today I started using the unit, and I showed my team members, who are considering purchasing it. :) However, they pointed out that for the Saint Lucia ceremony it is the oldest daughter who wears the crown, not the youngest as the booklet says. We checked several sources to make sure. Could you either fix this or let us know your info. source so we can fix our other resources that we use? Many thanks! (And I hope they'll decide they want the unit so I can come back and buy more licenses! I love this product!)

Hi there! I am very excited to start using this, however I am not sure about something. In the unit on the itinerary and on the cover of the book you say Christmas in Africa. However, in the story the child lives in South Africa, and the flag you put on the label is for South Africa. South Africa is a country on the continent of Africa. Do you actually mean Christmas in South Africa? The label with the South African flag says Africa, but I believe it should say South Africa, as should the other items. Can you clear up for me what you are intending? I was going to make up my own label for South Africa and cover for South Africa, but if you meant those instead and are able to revise, that would be much easier! Thank you! (And I hope I make sense - if I didn't explain clearly, just let me know.) :)

hey-it's because when it prints as a pdf-it turns text boxes that you may have rotated. It is so annoying! I did start using a pdf merge program online so I can combine horizontal and landscape ppt files. Hope that will help. oh, and sometimes using the powerpoint save as pdf is not as good-you may want to try primo or cute pdf when this happens

I just purchased this and am very excited about using it in the next couple of weeks with my students. However I am trying to figure out how to make the sheets into a booklet. This looks to be put together differently than I have seen most booklets done. If I copy back to back and fold the papers in half it does not appear to be in the correct order. Can you explain how you have these assembled?

The booklets are not designed to be printed back to back. They should be copied, cut down the middle and stapled. We ran into issues with back to back booklets in the past, and purposely designed them this way. Down the road we may make them back to back as an option, but not at this time. I was all set to purchase several things that were on sale, but now they aren't. Were they only on sale until a certain time today? I had put several things in my cart, was still looking when I had to leave. I came back (it is 8:15 CA time) and now they aren't on sale. I was greatly disappointed. First, add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page. List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Buyers would want to know what each job listed entails. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product. Also, use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also, number your pages.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
We're grade partners and great friends! We are in our third year of teaching 2nd grade together. Between the two of us, we previously taught middle school, special ed, and third grade.
MY TEACHING STYLE
We're fun and creative. We go beyond workbook pages and textbooks whenever possible! We're constantly designing lessons that are engaging and educational.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
Halle has been featured twice in Mailbox Magazine. Does that count? Jenna coaches volleyball and basketball.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
Halle has a Bachelor's in Elementary Education (K-5), as well as a Bachelor's in History. She is trying to decide what her true passion in education is so that she can go back and get back Master's. Jenna is certified in regular and special education.
