WCushing re: Poetry Package - 7 Assignments to Engage and Involve Students
I downloaded the packet, which looks wonderful, but it will not print. My Adobe is updated, but I keep getting a message that says "The document will not print; there are no selected pages to print." I've never seen this message before, and the set up on my printer looks fine, but when I hit print, I keep getting this message." Any ideas what to do?

Weird... I have never heard of that error before. My first suggestion is to update Adobe and that usually fixes issues. I've sold 100s of this package so I don't think it's an error with the file. Have you googled the error msg? I could send you a copy of the file by email later today and you could see if that helps. Hi - without know your standards, it's hard to answer your question. The package covers a lot about advertising (techniques, slogans, analysis...) it also covers the role of media in student's live, the role of media in influencing decisions students make, the power of media in society in general and more.

I've never taught 1st grade, but judging by my 6 year old niece, I think it would be too challenging. It's really targeted for grades 4-8.
I've seen more grade appropriate items with the same topic - you might just have to do a more targeted search.

There's no answer key because they're in the order that they should be in, but I'm realizing now that when you shuffle them up and hand them out that might be challenging. I'll quickly add an answer key and repost or I could send it to you if you leave your e-mail. The links on the back page are just links to other products (not sure why they're not live??) but they don't link to anything to do with the game.

Of course! Ha ha... I took it out to appeal to US people... I'll pop it back in and upload it tonight! I've now included two options (a US and a Canadian version). Also gave me a chance to update the file... it's been a while since I've looked at it... I added a Mapping Essentials worksheet to it that may be helpful too.

Not really a question... On the front cover it says students are to write a paragraph about their favorite ride, etc.. but on the page detailing the assignment, it states a page. Just wanted to make mention of it incase no one has. It was a little confusing to some of my students.

There's a smally typo on the Halloween Mystery instruction page. In the bottom section it reads I went to the story. I'm sure you meant to use the word store and because it's spelled correctly, spell check won't catch it. All of the materials on the Narrative Paragraph assignment are included in the big writing package. It's targeted to be used for grades 5-8. Most of it is easy to adapt depending on the skills of your students.

Hi - I wish I did! I usually have the students complete the project on 11x17 paper (or they could use poster paper if they choose to). I've had had some amazing themes - Halloween, Iron Maiden, Harry Potter, animals, cartoon characters, water etc. I hope you and your students have fun! Thanks!
