This is my 13th year as an educator. I have taught at the middle school, high school, and college levels. I am certified in ELA as well as Drama and Business, and I have two years experience as a library media specialist. I have experience tutoring for Sylvan as well as ACT Prep and College Prep Summer Institutes. I present a variety of professional development workshops, particularly on use of technology to enhance teaching and on standardized test preparation. I am co-authoring some lessons with my daughter, Kristen, who has chosen to follow in my footsteps, but prefers elementary to high school.
We use a variety of instructional techniques in our classrooms, including project based learning (PBL), Socratic Seminars, lecture, whole group, small group, and individualized learning activities. We use PowerPoint, SlideRocket, Prezi, Edmodo, WriteSource, TodaysMeet, SmartNotebook, and a variety of other technology tools to enhance instruction.

I am the proud mother of three, ages 22, 18, and 13, and the even prouder grandmother of two beautiful girls, ages 2 and 1.
