Hello Aimee,
I noticed that you teach multiplication to your class. I had a question - would be great if could give your opinion.
I introduce multiplication ( 5 and 10 times) to First Graders using props of shopping in a super market where I have fake 5 and 10 $ notes and kids have to come to a shop and buy things like 2 kgs apple - 5$ a kg. My kids love this and also the concept of multiplication gets deep rooted in them.
My question to you is- does it make sense to make a printable product out of this ? Would it be recieved ? I ask you this as I am from India and till date I posted only worksheets on this site - don't know if teaching tools such as these are used for education in the US.
Would be great to have your opinion on this.
