I love the ease and practicalness of these assessments. What is even better is that you can test your students on their knowledge of each chapter of Animal Farm. Hurray and thank you for a much needed product!

I appreciate having a place to start when beginning my novel study of the Diary of Anne Frank. However, I would not call these questions reading comprehension questions. Even as a 5th grade teacher, these questions are ridiculously simple, requiring absolutely no thought. The questions are level one questions according to the Bloom's Taxonomy scale asking students to copy information down directly from the text without any synthesis of information or critical thinking.
Look elsewhere for curriculum assistance.

This is simply a vocab test for Dickinson poetry. What a rip off! This is was really a disappointment and a complete waste of five dollars.

This set of tests and quizzes were incredibly basic, simply following the plot line and leaving out a few key words to be filled in. Some of the questions actually give away the answers to the previous question in their wording. If you want simple reading checks that don't require critical thinking or synthesis of information, then these would be fine. However, for an upper level literature course, I would not recommend them.

I am helping my study for his mid-term test in English. Part of the test is on Hamlet. The teacher kit has several mistakes, two of the big ones are:
1) There is no Answer Key for Reading Quiz 9.
2) The Answer Key for Quiz 10 is missing the answers to # 7 through # 10.

This was a waste of money. The tests consist of only ten questions and each test contains questions from the previous tests. Also word searches, which are the only activities other then chapter questions, at the high school level have no educational value.

A lot of the words on the icebox are suggestive. I'm wondering what your angle is in opening that door with students. Glad we can edit them; this may be a salvageable program.

If you are familiar with the paper ad-libs this will get your students into Shakespeare.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I like being able to use it to easily input and scramble questions while still having the flexibility to format the actual test, add images, formulas etc... in word.

The questions were very basic and simple. They would not require a whole lot of higher level skills at all. I bought this for the test, and there was no test included. I think this was a big disappointment and a waste of my money.

What a crock. For 7.99, there is, indeed, a sucker born every minute. Please be forewarned not to shell out your teacher-earned money for this.

This isn't going to save anyone any time. It is very vague. Most teachers would have to spend as much time reworking it as they would starting from scratch with just the story. Also, this is written as part as a 12th grade lesson plan, which might be why I find it so useless. Our school has this story as part of the 9th grade curriculum.

Kamikazi is a good screen name for the previous reviewer. "Anyone" is rather a general term. Perhaps this could be used as part of a 9th grade lesson plan, but "everyone" has their own needs.

This test is a test of basic facts in the story; I was hoping for a higher order thinking, reading comprehension type of test. I was extremely disappointed. Even if students can rememer these minor facts about the text, so what?

I so appreciate the effort...but not worth ten dollars to have multiple choice that does not matter. Where are the questions about events in the story. Your sample is unreadable and led me to believe you had 4 versions of a test, not really a test...a character information check. I was disappointed. Maybe you could just change the description so people can purchase it for what it is for. Not really a whole novel test...nothing much from chapter 8-12. Thanks for trying though.

I haven't looked at the questions thoroughly as I'm not doing this unit until March. The questions look very good and saved me a lot of time. The vocabulary looks great as well. I'll add some character education questions since I'm doing this as part of my Character Ed class.
Opening the downloaded document was a trick. Some other format (pdf) might be easier to open.
