Cate Clapham re: The Summer Olympics 2012 Unit
Hi Alison, just letting you know that the 1972 summer Olympics and the dachshund mascot were in Munich, Germany and not Sydney Australia. The pack is fantastic though.
Cheers,

Alison Bryan  (TpT Seller)
Hi. I will be happy to help you. The children's answers will vary so keep in mind there are several ways (wordings) to explain the personification. I will give you my way of answering. 1. The timer went off to let me know that the cookies were done baking. 2. The robbery was caught on video. 3. The car had trouble starting due to very cold temperatures. 4. My face was covered with tears as I continued to cry. 5. The night is clear with no bad weather in sight enabling the stars to be seen. 6. The full moon is large and bright which helps guide the nocturnal animals to find food. 7. The wind is blowing which causes the grass to move. 8. I was very thirsty after finishing the race. 9. The picture rattled and shook due to a train passing by. 10. The flowers appear to be reaching toward the warmth of the sun. 11. I got a suntan after spending the day at the beach. 12. I immediately felt the cold harsh wind after opening the door. I hope this helps and answers your question. Thank you for your purchase.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 17 years and I am excited to be in my 18th year. I have taught a first/second combination and 16 years in second grade. I started a new adventure this year and moved to a new school and started a new grade- third.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am very outgoing and love to relate what we are learning through personal stories. I like to work in whole groups, small groups and individually in order to provide the students the best learning environment. Hands-on activities are used regularly in my classroom.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am very honored to have been named my county's Teacher of the Year. I was also named the Teacher of the Week by the local tv station.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Meredith College located in Raleigh, North Carolina. I have a BS in Child Development and kindergarten through 6th grade certification.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I love teaching my second graders and cannot imagine ever having another job. Not only do I teach them but they teach me something new each day as well. Off to a great start with third grade. I love my babies!
