Hi, I am a student doing a paper on the benefits of using American sign language in the general classroom. I was wondering if I compiled some questions would be willing to answer a few about how ASL has helped you?

Hi Allison,
I can't open the file for Non-Fiction Templates for Young Writers. What did you create it in?

Thanks,
Paige

hi Paige. Thanks for asking a question. Do you have a smartboard at school or the smartnotebook software installed on your computer or laptop? It was created with this program so most likely will only work with it. If not, you might be able to download a free trial of the software.http://smarttech.com/downloads
If you do have it, try saving the file first, then open the software, and then try opening the file. Hope that helps. :)

You will love it!!!! I was a little afraid at first but use it every day for so many things now. Google lessons with smartboards and you will find tons of useful stuff! Good luck!

Hi,
I am anxious to use this program but it will not open on my computer. Any suggestions? I have the latest Adobe (had to upgrade for another purchase I made) so I don't think that is the problem. ?????

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I also teach baby sign language workshops to parents and caregivers.Baby Sign Language teaches simple gestures or signs, (American Sign Language) to hearing babies before they can speak). It helps bridge the gap of communication, strengthens bonds between babies and adults and enhances their language and vocabulary development. Come and find out more at my website www.toocutesigning.com I also began using ASL in my K and 1st grade classrooms the past few years. I have found it helpful with management, retention of sight words, manners, and keeping all students actively engaged and learning! It is a great way to differentiate instruction and to include many modalities while teaching/learning.
