TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my 11th year teaching in Mukilteo, Washington. I have taught 5th, 3rd, and most recently kindergarten. I love being a teacher!
MY TEACHING STYLE
School should be fun (!), engaging, and appropriately challenging for each student. I like hands-on learning with a focus on the Common Core Standards and the integration of curriculum. Students in my class work in groups, in partnerships, and independently.

I graduated from Western Washington University in 2002 with a BA in Elementary Education. In 2007 I went back to school and earned a Masters in Reading and Literacy. I am also a Reading Specialist.
ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
This fall, my husband and I will celebrate 9 years of marriage! We are the blessed parents of Eliana (4) and Benjamin (2). Our family loves being outside, playing together, and date nights ..... well, we love those more than they do :)
