You should be able to click on it and just delete it. In the description made sure to mention that they do not match exactly. However, you should be able to edit as much as you want since it is a PowerPoint file. Once you edit just be sure to save it as a new slide/PowerPoint file.

I appreciate your hard work! I was hopeful that the lessons were exactly like the Saxon Math Meetings. The only thing that is the same is the daily count. The calendar is also wrong for January. I haven't checked the months yet.

Thank you! The calendar is wrong since it was saved from the previous year. Something I totally didn't think of when I thought, "I bet other teachers would like these!" I'm in the process of changing the slides. I made sure to state in the description that they weren't exactly like the lessons. Thank you so much for your feedback! Also, will you let me know if you can edit them? A teacher friend of mine tweaked her copy to fit exactly like she wanted, but I'm not sure if others can as well.

Is there anyway you can try again? I wonder if it was just a glitch since no one else has had this problem. I checked to make sure my attachment was good and I didn't have a problem opening it. I'll see what I can do from my end! Also, could it be that it is a different version of Microsoft Word? I can try uploading it as a PDF and see if that helps.

You should be able to delete it if you do ot want it. It only comes up when you advance to the next slide. When you are in edit mode you can see it. Just move it out of your way for editing. In view mode, it does not come up until you click to advance the slide. Hope that helps! My kids love Mr. Sunshine!

I see what you mean. I thought that since it's PowerPoint it would let you edit it. I tried going in and changing it myself, but I am wondering if since it's a zip file it is read only... I'm going to try editing them from a different file and reposting them. It might take a while, but I'll get it done as soon as possible!

You know, I'm not sure where I found it! You could probably find one by doing a web search. I think I may have found it through Microsoft Office online. I wish I could be of more help! The slides are all editable, though. So once you find it, you should have no problem changing it.

Sorry, I don't think I was clear with my question. I was asking about them not being included in the power points. I think you thought I was asking about the recording sheet. I am starting my first teaching job in 2nd grade and I purchased this so I wouldn't have to use the bullitin board version! :) I was just comparing the slides to the first few lessons and noticed the problem of the day, graphing excercise, and temperature weren't in your power points. I was just curious how you incorporated these. Do you have the Student Helper go to the Smartboard to fill in the information on Power Point? Thank you so much for your prompt response! This is all new to me!! I really appreciate your help!

Oops! I did! I hated taking up a whole bulletin board with the saxon stuff! Yes, the first lessons in Saxon have the lunch count, but later on they do not. It's opposite for the temperature. They do not introduce it until later. I like to use the board as morning work. The kids have their recording sheet and look at the board to see what they are supposed to fill in. I have students that don't go to breakfast fill in the board when they are done with their recording sheet. That way, once every one is back in the room, the board is done and we can go over it all together and get our day started. I hope that helps!

The problem of the day would be worked out together on the board or on chart paper. Sometimes, I had the students work it out in their math journals. The lunch count we also did on the board, but we would discuss it as a fact family, such as, "if 13 kids chose peanut butter for lunch and we have 20 kids in all, how many kids brought their lunch box?" The reason those few things are not included on the companion sheet is because Saxon starts the problem of the day and the temperature later in the lessons. If you would like, I can make one with those things and post it! Also, I do not have power points for each lesson, they are just for the meetings. Thanks so much for your questions. I'll get busy on that recording sheet!

Yes, since they are in PowerPoint, you should be able to edit them. However, to be on the safe side, have you tried to download the free preview? If you can edit the preview, you should be able to edit the rest. Also, if you do choose to purchase the whole thing, don't forget to download the free recording sheet! Thanks for your question! Your print options should let you choose to print one slide per page. However, this question has my wheels turning. I could make a seperate sheet and post it for you. Would that work? I didn't think about not having a sheet to follow along with. Saxon comes with one, but if you don't use Saxon, then you wouldn't have it.
