My kids LOVE this! I made my dice on foam cubes because I thought it would be quiet. They are yelling and very excited every time we play. I made a little info sheet for mine to explain small straight, large straight, etc.

My only issue is that the pictures cover the words. When this is fixed I can change my rating. I LOVE it otherwise.
UPDATE - Amy promptly updated the PDF and it is perfect! I have tried to fix the rating, but am not sure how. I wish I could give it perfect 4's all the way across!

I love this game and so will my amazing kiddos! I just really wish there was a way the correct rhythm would dissappear if and when it was hit or someway to signal the correct pattern. A sound... Only in a perfect world. Thanks for such great products.

My students LOVED this activity! I used several variations of this song. I would love to see a dog (bow-wow), sheep (baa-baa), and a goose (hissy hissy). Those were the three that were missing from the songs that I used.....oh, and the wife, but we can skip over that part! Thank you for this resource!

This was a fun activity. I think that since the music notes look computer-typed, the quarter rests might have been better if they didn't look hand-written. A minor critique, only because these are materials that are paid for... BUT I love these! Great work!

I purchased both the Smartboard and the printable versions (Smartboard so I can use, and printable to leave for a sub if needed), but after purchasing and downloading, they appear to be the same. Both are Smart Notebook files. The previews do not look the same. Should the printable version be different? I am disappointed that I spent an additional $8 to download the same thing twice. The game looks great--but I don't think the SmartNotebook pages will work well printed out. Please let me know if I have misunderstood something. Thanks!

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I have recently realized that if I use a font that someone doesn't have when you open the file that will happen. I tried to avoid this by making the font included an image so that the fonts won't be offset. I tried to update all my past files but I will take a look at the one you're talking about. Our school has been given a grant for a music teacher. I am newly hired and have zero resources to pull from. I will be teaching K-6 and need resources can you give me some web sites that might give me some teaching tools? We are starting with note names, and instrument families, then moving to rhythm and beat. I also need a good source of holiday music that is kid friendly.

Unfortunately, I do not have experience with Mimios just with SMARTboards. I know you can download smart notebook express on the smart website for free and you'll be able to open the smart notebook files that way but I don't know how we'll it works. I hope this helps.

Unfortunately, I do not have experience with activeboards just with SMARTboards. I know you can download smart notebook express on the smart website for free and you'll be able to open the smart notebook files that way but I don't know how we'll it works. I hope this helps.

The only thing I can think is that if you go to the SMART website (http://smarttech.com/Support/Browse+Support/Download+Software/Software/SMART+Notebook+Express/SMART+Notebook+Express/SMART+Notebook+Express) you can download SMART notebook express and then you would be able to open the SMART Notebook files through that. I don't know how well smart notebook express works but that might help.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I currently teach K-2 General Music in Glenview, IL. This is my 5th year teaching. In my 5 years I have taught grade levels Pre K- 8th grade music and have taught 1-2 drama classes.

I like to use a lot of visuals to help my students learn. I have a SMART Board in my classroom so I create a lot of activities using SMART Notebook. I like to incorporate what my students are learning in their general education classes into music so most of my items can be adapted to fit your classroom.
