This certainly jazzes up any measurement unit and makes it more exciting than measuring classroom objects. I think I'll add a writing activity to each event where the children tell how they made their estimate based on common objects- like the width of a paperclip is about one centimeter so can use that knowledge to estimate rather than wildly guessing. I love this activity!

The CCGPS are the exact same thing, they just have the GPS added to the end. If you compare the two, they say the exact same thing. I hope this helps :)

I have created the problems to toubh on every category that we teach in 1st and 2nd grade. Some of the problems are harder than others, which is why they could be for 1st or 2nd. They are also not numbered, so you can use the ones you want in the order that you want. Thanks for your question and let me know if you need anything else :)
