As you may be able to tell, I love your smartboard journey's lessons. I am going to spend time over the summer going through them and so I can use them more effectively. For a first year Journey's teacher it has made my life so much easier.

These lessons are terrific. I would love to have a page at the beginning or the end explaining how to use your pages. I basically click and click and click until I find what I want. Your pages are beautiful and the kids LOVE the storybots.

Sorry Tammy - I will have it fixed tonight. I updated lesson 28 last night and by mistake I replaced lesson 29 instead of lesson 28! I have lesson 29 inactive for right now until I can get it fixed at home! I'm really sorry! It will be back later this afternoon!!!!

When I download this tonight, it is opening up the Lesson 28: Working in Space with some updated slides I think. So, when I download Working in Space I get the file with the vocab pages that aren't complete and when I open Two of Everything I get the Working in Space file with the edited slides. Can you let me know how I can get the Two of Everything file? I love your lessons and am teaching Two of Everything this week.

Hi! Just wanted to say that my class LOVES your SMART Board lessons. I have been purchasing them ever since we got our SMART Board in January! This week, we are doing Lesson 28- Working in Space. I noticed on day 3 and 4 that the vocabulary games (with the random selections) are not working. It is only showing what needs to be edited. We just skipped over it, no big deal. Just hoping it will be fixed for next year! Also, do you still plan on adding Grammar skills and writing to the lessons? That would be awesome! I was curious if the price would go up? I have not purchased the first half yet because we did not have a SMART Board then. I would love to own them all! :) Thanks so much!

Hi Carolyn - First Question - when you go to print, do you have the option to choose SMART Notebook Document Writer? If so, you are all set! Just open files - projectables, practice book pages, word doc, whatever - that you could print and choose this option. You will be prompted with another box letting you know the objects can not be moved - no problem, just click ok. The file will then load and open into an untitled SMART Notebook file. I just drag the pages into my files where I want to use them. Be sure to lock your pages down so when you erase, they don't move or disappear!
I also have this available if you would like to print something out from my site free - http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/How-To-SMART-Notebook-Document-Writer
If you do not have this option available, then you could ask your tech dept to possibly include it if they do upgrades over the summer. At home, I have it on my computer. It was automatically downloaded with the software.

The lessons are focused on the skills as presented in the series. From my own experience the skills do closely follow the CCS, but I have not checked to make sure all standards are met. The PowerPoint supports fluency of high frequency words. I do think all the comprehension skills follow closely, but additional slides may need to be added to support your district requirements. Amy, I plan on comparing the two Journeys editions this summer and I will keep you posted on my findings. My email is JamesTeach2@gmail.com. We were lucky we got to keep all the materials for the 2011 Journeys we piloted, today we received the 2014 leveled readers and vocabulary readers and I was trying to organize the leveled readers and noticed some of them were changed as well. :( I am going to start writing everything down and then I will send it to you. Are you using Journeys? If so what edition are you using? I havent used a basal in years and just love this program. I have noticed my students are really learning the vocabulary due to the fact that the voc. is used throughout all the materials in the program. I teach in New York in the suburbs, we are about 45 minutes north of New York City.I teach in a small school district. I will keep you posted on what I noticed about the two series. James :)

Thanks Amy for your quick response. I wish I could purchase them all at once, but not sure we will be doing every story. We are mapping out our curriculum now for the new Common Core, URGH! What a lot of work and a waste of time. Journeys 2014 edition is aligned to the Common Core. We piloted the 2011 edtion in January and then they came out with the newer edition, so we are going with that. From what I can tell all the stories are the same, a few of the short stories that go with the Anchor texts are different. Thanks again Amy. I love your work!

Hmmmm....have you tried getting totally out of the file then reopening it? Sometimes glitches can happen for no apparent reason. The fact that you could use the others leads me to think its just a glitch thing! Also, try restarting the computer you are using and reopen file.

I have bought almost all of your Jouneys smartboard lessons for first grade and love them. I often pull up the parts where the kids drag the magnet letters up and let them do that during my stations. Here is my question. Do you sell just the magnet letters part or even just the dice part? I feel like it would be easier for me to have a folder of just those to pull up rather than having to find the correct day on the lesson part. I hope this doesn't sound confusing.

If you are using SMART Notebook software, you have these activities available within that program. The magnets are called Fridge Magnets. The reason I am asking is that I need to post my slides for my administrators to review on Friday and I use your slides for phonics. Thanks so much Dena! I started with unit 3 I think??? The K team in my building requested them and I was already trying to do the first grade lessons, so I didn't get started right away! I will continue to complete the rest of the units this year, then go back over the summer to get the units I missed at the beginning.
Sorry about how they are organized - I think that is a TpT thing. I've tried to title them in a way that they would be in order and easy to locate, but that doesn't seem to help.

Hi - I have a question. Our district just adopted Journeys in January. We are wanting to buy all of your Units for Grades kindergarten, first, and second grade. We will be purchasing 5 for kindergarten, 3 for first grade, and four for second grade. Is there anyway you can bundle the units or give some type of group discount. Thank you so much in advance.

Hi - I also have had this problem and I have found it usually to be a slow connection from my school. Are you able to try to open the link at home? This is what I did and I was able to open it easily from home, which narrowed the problem down to something at school or a problem on the site based end. I will check out the file at home just to make sure though that there is nothing wrong with the file.

Do you have a SMARTBoard? Notebook software comes with your board - if that is what you mean by wanting to download the program. If you mean the story file, then when you click to download choose 'save as' and browse for your flashdrive usually found under My Computer. Once your flashdrive is found, then save. Or you can save as to your desk top, then open you flashdrive window so it is smaller and drag the story file to your flashdrive. I hope that makes sense for you.
