Authors should make sure they spell the novel author's name correctly. Does not instill much faith in the buyer when the first page is incorrect. Editing is important.
Also, study guides are extremely lengthy. Perhaps more focused questions would be more helpful to students.

This was an incredible unit plan! My at risk seniors loved the book and the activities you so thoughtfully planned. It took me two years to get this book approved, and I have so many others I am fighting for my students. Once I get approval, I will posting my plans, and hopefully you will be able to use mine.

This guide works out well for what I am doing with my students. The questions cover relevant points in the chapters. Its a good start for me and I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

For the price, this was a colossal waste of money. Yes, it's incredibly lengthy, but that's only because the author provides an unnecessary answer section, uses large fonts at times, and creates unnecessarily large gaps between sections. I'm well into teaching the book, and I haven't used this as a resource at all. (FYI-The author's name is even incorrect on the title page!) It's a very "old school" resource for teachers who use a traditional study guide written in Q/A form and who don't value critical thinking at all. Sorry to be a downer, but I'm thoroughly unimpressed.

Hi, I teach The Kite Runner to my 10th graders. They've asked to read Splendid Suns for extra credit. I need a test to measure their understanding. Could you give me a better idea of how many questions are contained in this document? Are the questions able to be answered without the book, or is it more of a study guide where questions must be filled out as they read? Thanks for your help!

This is more of a studyguide where questions must be filled out as they read. It also has journal/writing assignments based on the readings and topics. I used a literary analysis as the culminating activity for this book instead of a test.
