I did not read the description closely enough. I did not know that it required a Smart Board. My fault though. I am sure that they are wonderful lessons for anyone that has a Smart Board. I will be more careful in the future.

I couldn't use this. I wrongly assumed that I could print worksheets. So it was a waste of $15 for me. :(

Can you download the Smart Notebook Software (free 30 day trial) and then save the file as a pdf so at least you have the worksheets and a copy of the lesson? It would work for 30 days, which would be enough time to teach it. Here is the link to download a free 30 day trial. Just don't download it till you are ready to teach it...or your school might have a Product Key for the software if anyone in your district has a Smart board. Here is the link.

Piddler, yes...you need the Smart Notebook Software. This file is interactive, but if you would like a non-interactive copy...I could export it into pdf format. I will wait for a reply from you. If you already purchased it...I'd hate for it to be a waste of money, so just let me know if you'd like the pdf file or if you can get the Smart Notebook software installed to your computer that would be the best option. Here is the link to the software download...it is free for the first 30 days...then it will ask you for a purchase ket.

Therese, If the object is "locked" just unlock it, and then go to "insert" up in the top menu, then choose "picture file" and then find your image on your computer and put it in. If you continue to have difficulty getting your picture in there, you can email me the photo and the Smartboard File I can step you through it and then return it to you. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching for 7 years and I am currently a Technology Integration Specialist for one of the largest districts in Maine. I have also worked as a 4th grade teacher, a Title I Reading Teacher and an Ed Tech III. I aide other teachers in learning how to incorporate various forms of media into their lessons.I am also my districts Curriculum coordinator for digital media and getting it to align to the CC standards. I enjoy keeping our district staff up to date with all the new and fun technologies. I keep my plate very full, but I also find it very rewarding.
MY TEACHING STYLE
My classroom is always a warm friendly place to be. My style is very discussion oriented with many opportunities for hands on learning, problem solving, and exploration. I find that when they kids feel they are driving the buggy...they are more apt to engage fully and retain more of each lesson. Most of my lessons include student participation at the Smartboard AND at their seats. Just because there is one child at the board, doesn't mean the kids seated can't participate too! (I am not currently in a classroom, but in many.)
