Dear Andrew,

My name is Jack Dennison. I am the Editor-in-Chief of www.FunnelBrain.com, an educational website. I am writing to you because the quality of the work you have posted to PTP distinguishes you as a talented author. I am looking for teacher-authors to create custom study review materials for FunnelBrain (on a paid basis, of course).

These study materials would take the form of online flashcards, quizzes, and study guides for high school and college level courses, as well as for certain standardized exams such as the GMAT, the SAT or the GRE. We are also interested in lesson plans built around activities that can take place on www.FunnelBrain.com.

If you are interested in a paid writing assignment, please email me at jack@funnelbrain.com, and I will respond with details on the available assignments. In the meantime, please feel free to browse FunnelBrain.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Jack Dennison

Margaret Whisnant  (TpT Seller) re: Twitter Questions: Where the Red Fern Grows
Andrew, In doing a search to determine if I want to post my materials for Where the Red Fern Grows, I came across your file and see that you have written "The novel features a young boy, growing up in the Ozark Mountains, who falls in life with the two coons that he has paid for with his own money: Old Dan and Little Ann." You might want to change that to . . . "who falls in love with the two coonhounds that he bought with his own money." Customers spot these things right away. I'm sure you have a fine product that many teachers would enjoy using. Hopefully, this little change will draw interest and sales!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My experience as a camp administrator and school teachers have both influenced my content development work. Students have to have a good time while they are learning or it'll be difficult to learn. I have worked with pre-schoolers, elementary school students, middle school students, high school students and post college graduates.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I work hard to develop lessons that actively enage my students in thinking about important ideas. Many of my lessons incorporate drama, art, and/or debate. All of my lessons include group work. Even though I primarily teach high school students, I believe that the best teachers are kindergarten teachers. If kindergarten teachers don't engage their students they quickly become bored.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I received a great honor the day that a twenty year, who had been a student of mine in 6th grade, came up to me and repeated a story that I had told him. I take great pride that my students remember me years later.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Completed adanced doctoral work in Curriculum, Teaching and Educational Policy, Michigan State University M.A. Jewish Education, The Jewish Theological Seminary of America Secondary Teaching Certificate, History and Government (State of Texas) B.A. Political Science, Columbia University B.A. Talmud and Rabbinics, Jewish Theological Seminary of America

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I post teaching ideas on my own blog http://www.lessontech.blogspot.com every day. I'd be happy to develop material specifically for you or your school.
