I started my career in a private school, teaching 5th grade Math and Language Arts, as well as Spanish for grades 5-8. I taught at this school for two years and then took a year off. Following the break, I returned to teaching in the public school system. I was a Reading and Math Intervention teacher for grades K-5 for 1.5 years. Mostly I worked with bilingual students during this time. Then I taught 2nd grade in a bilingual/dual language classroom for another 2.5 years. Wanting a change of pace, I finished the past 2 years teaching 2nd grade in an ESL classroom. I am now a stay at home mom with my first child. I am eager to help teachers because I know how time consuming good lessons can be.
