I *LOVE* this clipchart!!!
The clipchart works so well in my class, and I think this one is the cutest in the teacher store.
On many clipcharts, the green section is much taller than the others to accommodate a class full of clips at the beginning of each day.
I wish this one had a longer middle section too, even if it printed across two sheets of paper and I had to tape it together before I laminated my clip chart. =)

Thanks for your question! I apologize... K2K is how I abbreviated knee to knee, as students may do in a turn and talk. We rearranged our units and will now be teaching this unit in April. I'll be adding sample work for this unit once this year's students get going on the unit in a couple months!

Many of the features I teach during this unit are found in MOST of the Kevin Henke's mouse books, so there are some easy substitutions if you don't have all these texts.

Hi Jessica! The green section is as large as I can fit it on the page if the chart is horizontal. I didn't make the chart vertical because it would be VERY long (I have it hung as it is and it is pretty long, even in a horizontal orientation). If all your clips aren't fitting there, you might want to try putting each section of the clip chart onto its own piece of posterboard or cardstock, laminating, then using binder rings to attach each section of the chart (kind of like a chain). That way kids could put their clips all the way around the section. Does that make sense?

Hi! I contacted you a bit ago about making a substitute cover and I want to say that these look amazing! I am wondering if you would be willing to make me a few more? I'm not sure you if you do custom orders or not but I would love it if you could make me 3 covers and spines that say "Benchmark Assessments" (this is for our reading levels), "Student Information" and "Staff Information". I was thinking (if you are willing to do this) you could just use the IEP, Common Core and RTI covers as I don't use these (I live in Canada and I don't even know what these are!). Hi Evie! Thumbnails 2 and 3 are pages from the assessment itself. It is designed to be administered 1:1 or in a small group such that the students can explain their thinking and demonstrate their strategies. There are columns for scores and spaces for teacher notes. Please let me know if I can explain more or help you further!

I LOVE the folder idea with letters, days of the week, shaoes, etc. resource folder. My kids have chair pockets so a resource folder will work out great! I think I will include a portable "word wall" on the back of the folder. This tends to keep them from getting up so much during writer's workshop. Thanks for the idea! Angela Stuart

I love the idea of putting a portable word wall on the folder! I thought about adding it to the file, but I decided not to since different teachers introduce words in different orders. You are lucky to have the chair pockets... Folders at the kids' fingertips! :)

Hi Angeline, I just bought the sub tub files and I LOVE it! The only bug I've found is that on page 10, schedules and routines, a thick black line prints above the seahorse. I've printed it twice and it's come out the same. Any ideas? Thanks! Nancy

Hi Nancy! When I look at the file and I print it, I don't get the black line. Are you opening it in Adobe? I have had problems opening PDFs in Preview on my Mac, but no problems in Adobe. Also, try redownloading it from your purchased items list on TpT. If that doesn't work, email me at angelinemstewart@yahoo.com and let me know, and we'll figure out the issue!

I love this book!! I can't wait to use it!! I just have one little tiny problem. My school isn't buying anymore colored ink for the rest of the year!! In order for me to go copy these for my students it'll be a little pricey in color!! I don't mind doing black and white but the pages that are yellow (like the on the road one) won't show up when I copy them!! Is there a way I can go in and just change those yellow ones to a color darker so it'll come out better in black and white??! Just thought i'd ask before I spent some money on color!! Thanks!

That is the correct way it should be (1 page of pictures, 1 page of labels). The second page contains the labels necessary for the sort. I have the students glue the labels into three columns (solid, liquid, gas) on a 12x18" piece of construction paper. Then I give each student a copy of the picture page for them to cut and sort into the appropriate column. I'm sorry you were disappointed in the download. I've used this many times with my first graders and found that the amount of pictures were appropriate - not too many to overwhelm the students, but not too few to provide a wide range of objects to sort.
