This activity was just what I was looking for! This is awesome; I am using this as 1 of 7 stations. After they finish the graphing I will let them use a Lite-Brite to recreate them (just for fun).

I am definitely going to impliment "book shares" with my class and impliment some of your ideas with another writing & oral research report I am coming up with for this year! Thank you! Very thorough materials! I especially love the rubric and letter to parents. This is definitely something I am planning on using with my 3rd graders this year!! This is a really creative way to hold students accountable for outside reading. I love the specific instructions and expectations both for students and parents.
