I absolutely loved this as a task for kids to move on to after they were done their shapes work. It is easily done independently, and we could do a shape a day. Loved it. Thank you! :)

Just to let you know on your 5 facts you list, you misspelled penguins on #5 as penguinis & on #1 cannot should be one word. Not a big problem & thanks for sharing. :) Plan to use this on Monday with my 2nd graders!

Hi Lynne! Yes these packs do have color images. I always provide color and black & white game pieces for my kids to complete the worksheet. I use the black and white, and copy them on construction paper. However I know many of my followers just print and laminate the colored game pieces and use those. Hope this answers your questions. Here are a few suggestions that might help you to better market this product. Add some clipart to add color or just color some of the text. For some reason buyers like color on the original even though they may copy your product in black and white. You might also add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page for the teacher. (How do usea this? Is this something that you send home? Etc.) List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product.
Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also number your pages. Finally, unless you want your products revised (I do for my tests) save everything in a PDF format as it is harder to change.

Thanks for your question! Honestly it's very hard to explain, and the best advice I can give is just to jump in and play with it. I create my products in Microsoft word and I spend hours upon hours trying to come up with new ideas that are my own and address the skills that my kids need at that time. It's very hard to make sure you're creating things that someone else hasn't done, and following your clipart copyright laws. It can be very overwhelming for a first year teacher...I started this year myself, but it can be done. Just don't overwhelm yourself with "I have to get things in my store!!!" If you are going to take the time to make it for your kids, then put it in your store, if not, don't stress about it. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your question! I typically have anywhere between 60 and 120 pages per unit. My zoo unit however is a little shorter (47 pages) because I did not include any of the colored game pieces like I usually do. I have created a preview to put up, but TPT is having some technical issues "for a few hours" so I am checking constantly to see when I can get that posted. Let me know if you had any more questions!

Quick question, in your community helpers unit, what font/size did you use for your pocket chart story? You did not have "an" (for orange) and I was thinking of making sentences for gray and white.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This year is my very first year teaching, and I am so lucky to have ended up at the happiest place on Earth! Yes, I can honestly say that because it's an all kindergarten school where you constantly have someone hugging your knees and telling you they love you. I have successfully made it through my first year, and hopefully there will be many more to come.
MY TEACHING STYLE
My teaching style, at the kindergarten level is mostly "Demonstrator." I model for my students the correct way to do the task at hand, butI highly value student participation as an important facet of the lesson.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
It is simply an honor to have a GREAT teaching job with some of the most amazing coworkers I could hope for!
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I went to Auburn University right after graduating from high school. I put myself on the fast track and graduated in 3.5 years. I did my student teaching in a 5th grade math and spelling class. It was such a great experience and I will never forget those sweet kids. They taught me so much! Now I am a first year teaching in a Kindergarten classroom. I am head over heels in love with this job and those kids!
