My students and I love your adjective Army pack!!! I am a 2nd grade teacher AND an Army veteran...so this was perfect! They loved describing their sergeant, commander, soldiers, training site, etc.!!!! The clip art even loomed like me and I was a sergeant. Thank you for the consistency in each unit. This is a weakness I struggle with going from unit to unit. I am a new teacher and finding something already made, free, and that is consistent will really help me start and stay strong. Thank you!

I used this with my first graders today and they loved it! I used the poster, song, the "I have..you have.." game and the craftivity! They didn't like my singing :), but they did get the concept..one of my students even noticed the word "unwanted" in the book she was reading after the lesson! I call that a success! Thank you!

I use the vocabulary transparency from Pearson SuccessNet to introduce and display vocabulary but would love to see your style of display for these words. Sorry I am just now seeing this. I have the new common core version of reading street so instead of The Dot our story is Cinderella. I have made a focus wall pack for "The Dot", but I am unsure if the spelling words, amazing words, and high frequency words are the same for your story as it was for mine. Right now I would am adding the stories for 1st grade as I get to them in reading groups. I probably could not find the time for it now. I could maybe in the summer, but it would be hard to offer 2nd grade for free because I have no use for them so I would be investing time in something I would not be able to use in my own classroom. First, I want to say THANK YOU for the Focus Wall Packs. My First Grade team is in love with them. We each download them weekly. Somehow, I think we got ahead of you. We are working on Ruby in Her Own Time this week. Are we ahead of you? Do you know when it will be ready for printing. I hope we get back on target soon. :)

I did check to see if Unit 3 first story was similar to the older version of reading street. Our first story is "An Egg is an Egg", the story are kinda similar.
Our spelling words are: my, by, try, any, body, fly, cry, lucky, silly, puppy, things, always.
The question of the week is How do we change as we grow?
Comprehension Skill is Compare and Contrast-----I can use the poster from Honey Bee with this.
Comprehension Strategy is Predict
Genre---Realistic Fiction
The high frequency words are the same as your story.
If you can make the changes, I would appreciate it. If not I can go with what you already did.

I just checked the new series vs. the old one for story 3.1. A lot of it is the same. Would you be interested in making packs for the old series if you had the info? I have been using and loving your focus wall packs, but we use the 2008 version, it looks like you have the newer one? I'm guessing the rest of the stories are different and I wanted to continue with my focus wall. I would like them to look similar to the ones you have made and am wondering what font you used for the spelling and high frequency words? Thank you!!

I have the newest version of the Reading Street Series. Instead of An Egg is an Egg, we have A place to Play as our story. I am thinking the skills are the same, but I am not positive. If you check it out and let me know if anything is different I would be glad to change it. I have had many people ask about the older version, but no one gives me the info I need to fix it for them. Hi Annie :) As a common trend I too am asking about you Reading Street focus wall packs. This coming week we are going to be on the Farmer in the hat. However, I am already looking past this. By chance is there a way to find out when you add another focus wall pack? I have printed all of yours and have been using them with each unit! They are amazing and thank you for making them free.
