When I look at my purchases, I can download, but there are still errors. For example, The Lizard and the Sun has several errors. If I go directly to TPT to "purchase it", it does not say I own it, which is why I was asking if I had to re-purchase to get the corrections. Right now I'm on Week 16 and saw that the poster for "cozy" (page 130) has the definition for the word "gently" printed on the bottom. I think that the standards from the language section in the 2nd Grade Rockstar Common Core Standards are mis-numbered and one of the sub-standards is missing. I couldn't find the one for L.2.1D: Form and use the past tense of frequently occurring irregular verbs.
The ones you have labeled L.2.1D and L.2.1E should be L.2.1E and L.2.1F. Can you make a correction and reload an update when you have a chance? THANKS a lot!

I purchased your Rockstar Theme 2nd grade common core standards packet. I love them! They are perfect for the new theme I using in my classroom this year. I was wondering if you have student-friendly versions of the 8 Math Practice Standards from the common core in this theme as well. I would love to have them on full sheets of paper that I can display along with the content standards. I have found a few other sellers that have them but they don't match my theme! I know it is a busy time of year and you are probably doing a lot to prepare for the upcoming school year, but I would love to purchase them if you make them!

You are my new hero! :) I have taught Storytown for the last 4 years or so and honestly, it's not my favorite. I have been seeing all of the supplemental materials for Treasures and other series, but not Storytown. I'm SOOO glad you are doing these. If I knew how, I'd GLADLY help as well. But, I don't even know where to start. I know we are getting a new edition, once it's all aligned to common core for the 13-14 school year I believe. I just hope it all corresponds. :) Thanks for all your hard work!
Oh and I also use Kagan structures. :) I LOVE them and love that I'm able to do some of them on the spur of the moment. My district came to observe me and I had done a structure for the lesson and he loved it. :)I'm also a trainer of trainers for it. They are great. Anyway, thanks for your hard work!!

I use them every morning as transition time between morning work/arrival and when we start our language arts block. The smaller versions are cut apart and the students glue them to the top of their new journal page. That way, when they take their journals home at the end of the school year, they know the question that was asked so that their answers make sense. I will try to get theme 1 done as soon as I can. I have a few other requests that I need to get done first, but bit will definitely be done before the new school year. :)

I have absolutely NO problem with you sharing the them with the othe second grade teachers. That's what great teachers do, collaborate and share! :) Do al of thr grades at your school use Storytown as well? As for the vocabulary being different for a few lessons, we have the 2009 version. I'm not sure if they are different. But, I would be happy to make new posters especially for you (free of charge, of course) using the same format. Hi April- My student teacher was looking over some of the crosswords and noticed that GW Carver (#19) is not accurate, some of the words don't fit. Also, some of our high frequency words were missing, this could just be because we have different editions of storytown. Thanks for working hard so that our life is easier!!!!

I use the smaller versions of the questions every day in my class. I pre-cut them and have them waiting on my students' desks every morning for them to glue to the top of their journal page for the day. This way, when they take their journals home at the end of the school year, they can look back and see what question it was that they answered. The parents really appreciate it too because it shows how their child is thinking and it makes a great keepsake for the parents. :o) Thanks for the kind words! Thank you so much! This is my first year teaching 2nd grade and Storytown. It's been quite a task, which I'm sue you know all about! I am currently working on units for each lesson. So far, I have a few centers for each (phonics and spelling words) and crossword puzzles and word searches. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
This is my 5th year teaching, with 3 of those years in urban schools in the Cincinnati area. I have taught Kindergarten (3 years), 1st grade, and now 2nd grade.
MY TEACHING STYLE
I absolutely LOVE hands-on activities. They are definitely the way that I keep my students on task, entertained and learning in my classroom. I also use a lot of Kagan structures every day.
