The pets in this unit are actually pets that past presidents have had. The information came from a book on presidential pets. I actually think I remember them not having any amphibians for pets.

For the beach in a bag activity each child adds a small amount or number of items to a zip-loc bag. Then you add some shaving cream and food coloring and tape the bag up. It's easy to do. It does require a few simple materials though. Does that help?

The unit includes dimensions for cutting pieces and step by step directions for having the kids clip corners and round to make George. I hope this helps answer your question. Everything you need is included, but the kids do most of the cutting.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I taught kindergarten for 14 years and absolutely loved it!! I spent three years in Wichita Falls and the other 11 in Grand Prairie. Last year, I became a kindergarten and first grade strategist, so now I go into kinder and first grade rooms all across my district everyday. This is my 16th year in education.
