TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am currently in my fourth year of teaching grades 11, and 12. I teach a variety of classes including: Mythology, British Literature, American Literature, Advanced Composition, and Speech.
MY TEACHING STYLE
My goal as a teacher is to make students want to learn and discover their own answers. I use things relevant to each individual student and aid them in becoming successful. I really enjoy incorporating history and art into my lessons. I enjoy doing lots of activities in the classroom that make the classroom stimulating for all types of learners.
HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT
I made the Sioux City Journal during my first year of teaching with a unit I designed concerning the Holocaust. I have published two poems.
MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
I received my Bachelor's degrees in Secondary Education and English with a writing minor from Briar Cliff University located in Sioux City, IA.
