These are awesome! They were on my wishlist and when I saw they were part of the packets for donating to the West, Texas fundraiser, I was ecstatic! I have started using the books to review blends and my kids love them... so simple, yet so engaging and such good review! And the posters with the blends... I love how big they are and have gotten compliments on them! I was curious as to what font you used for the blend posters/cards... I really like it and couldn't seem to find it on either of the font websites at the end of your packet. Thanks so much!

Abby, in the 20 Day checkup for first grade RFS, around day 9 the word write is spelled writ. It's under word recognition, where they fill in the blank with a word from the bottom!

Love the 20 day check up packets for K , 1st, and 2nd. I teach multiple grades so this has been a WONDERFUL time saver. :) I was wondering if you will be putting out a math check up for 2nd grade?
I have purchased all of the other packets and they have been a great help with reassessing skills these last few weeks of school. They are right to the point with none of the extra stuff which I appreciate for a quick assessment :)

I couldn't find another place to send you a comment. I bought the Derby unit last year and used it with my first graders. I am using it again this year. One of my sweet horse-loving girls was so excited when I pulled out the little derby books to illustrate and color. She said, "this is the best day ever!" Thought you would enjoy hearing that heart-felt comment.

I purchased this at the full price of $5 today and when I downloaded it a lot of the wording was missing and/or blurry. I have only tried to open it on an apple computer. could this be the problem? Is there any way that I could download another version or something? i really like this unit and hate that I cant use most of the content because it was either deleted somehow or is extremely blurry.
update: Previously tried to open this document on an apple computer and had issues. Was able to open the full document on my Dell without issue. This is an awesome unit!! Can't wait to start on it tomorrow. Just wish I could open it on my school computer :(

Abby--On day 6, in the word recognition section, "Write" needs an 'e' in the directions. And shouldn't the answer be "My sisters pick up the toys." instead of picks. Does that make sense? Maybe I'm just super tired.

Make sure you're downloading and saving the product, and opening form there. Often times, it is opened in "preview" which will blur the images, leave blanks, or black boxes. I hope that helps!

I purchased the first grade for the end of the year. For the rhyming words do you expect for kids to find a rhyming word for each box. For example, the first one with bike has six boxes my kids could not think of six.

Sorry for the confusion - bike could rhyme with Mike, trike, like, pike, hike, spike, strike.
The picture you are referring to is a "ghost" - but if the students said "monster" and marked 2 syllables, I would definitely give him credit since he showed that he understood the skill :)

My tech guy was able to help me open up your RTI Kind.Letter Recognition Identification Packet and I wanted to share for those who have Mac computers and get the blurry pages. I didn't know how to be sure to open up with Adobe Reader, so here is how:
Either Two-Finger click or hold Control & click your mouse on the document you have downloaded.
A side menu will appear: Click the OPEN WITH
Choose ADOBE READER from the list of choices.
It works and your material is awesome!!! Maybe this will help others from getting discouraged. other tips did not work for me. Thanks so much for all you do on here. Love your Stuff!!!!

I have also paid and downloaded the Fun with FIrsties and it will completely download, and I can view all 41 pages, but when I go to print it, it will only print to page 7. I have tried numerous times. I am very disappointed. Is there any thing that you can do since I have paid for this and it can not be used. Or any suggestions?

Make sure you're not downloading and viewing in "preview" in adobe. Often, updating your adobe software will work, too. I just bought your 20 day check- up in reading, and found that there are these black squares on a few of the pages. They are blocking some of the words and lines. Not sure what to do. Do you have any suggestions? Other than these black squares, I love it and would buy one in math as well.

Most of the time this is because you are either viewing the product in "preview" or haven't downloaded the most recent version of Adobe Acrobat. Doing this usually clears up the issue :)

I'm very interested in your 20 Day Check-Up for 2nd Grade. I teach in a small private school and am unfamiliar with the term "20 Day Check Up". What part of the year would be appropriate to give this assessment?
