My students are teens in a substance abuse rehab. This has been an incredible addition to our curriculum. So many have lost touch with their childhood and have no hope for the future, and Get Totally Real has given a piece of this back to him. Thank you so much.

Clever idea, but ended up being too simplistic for my high school students. I may spend some time this summer adjusting it for my specific needs.
(side note: my students were put off by the font choices - they felt if was "too young" for them)

Hello! Get totall Real! is something I use over the course of a school year but absolutely can be used in pieces/portions. I started the project for apathetic seniors actually, however over time, I added some lessons directed at younger students to help them see the value of their education early enough to keep them from doing things like failing classes! So consequently some of the earlier pages might seem a bit 'young' for seniors but are focused on helping them better understand themselves, what adult education is about and how it is connected to future job options. There are even some lessons focused on employability skills, job interviewing, etc.

I purchased Get totally Real and downloaded it, however when I downloaded it Page 1 and Page 3 are blank. I have downloaded it on two computers and both times I have gotten the same outcome. Is page 1 and 3 suppose to be blank?

This is probably a crazy question, but I am completely new to this sight and fell in love with this program. I will be teaching a Leadership Class to 9th and 10th graders this year, and this looks like something I would love to use. If I purchase the download, do I have full copying privileges for my classroom???

You have copy privileges for one set, however if you make more copies, I'll never know.
To be honest, making copies and having kids keep them in binders (all the way to end of the year) was a NIGHTMARE. Too many pages...too many lost...binders too big and bulky to carry around, etc which is why I self-published to begin with. Plus kids respect books more than loose sheets or copies.
I can sell you whole books for less, or close to, your copy costs). Especially if you consider binders into expense. Depending on how many books you needed, I can go as low as 12.00$ each on 20 or more, including shipping if you buy through my website instead of Amazon.
At my school, we ask for parent donations since it is something they keep a a tool for later and a keepsake.
Our PTA to covers any who can't get a donation.
I'm sure that's way more info than you wanted.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Beth Decker has been teaching high school for 19 years. From 1999-2003 she served as a teacher on special assignment in a new position as district ltieracy coordinator, where she created and implemented a successful district wide professional development program. The cornerstone of the project was her original, revolutionary video series, Get Real!Learning, she wrote and produced with students teaching key reading/learning strategies. That video series has now morphed over the past twelve years into her life planning project called Get totally Real!
