akamartin re: Having Fun with Plagiarism
The preview was a PowerPoint, but when I purchased it, it downloaded as a PDF file. Is this the format in which it was supposed to download?

Thanks!

Hi! Yes, due to copyright issues on graphics, all presentations are in PDF format. You can copy the information over from PDF to PowePoint by selecting the copy image tool. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the patronage!

Sincerely,
Beth

susieq69 re: The Movie of...A Narrative Writing Using the Five Elements of Story
Beth, You have a great idea. However, there are too many graphics and not enough space for prewriting. Also, as students write their plot, it would be helpful to label the rising action, climax, falling action, etc... I urge you to reivise this and make this a resource that every classroom teacher would love to have.

susieq69 re: Persuasive Writing with Interactive Writing Activities
Does your Persuasive Writing include a rubric?

Hi, Susie,

I added a Peer Workshopping component and Scoring Rubric to help make persuasive writing easier to implement. Thanks for the suggestion!

I hope the unit meets your needs and helps students with their writings. Another suggestion might be S.O.A.P., an alternative to the five-paragraph essay.

Enjoy and thanks for your patronage!

Sarah Roach  (TpT Seller) re: Beginnings and Endings/Introductions and Conclusions
I just downloaded the "preview", and I think it might be the whole file! It's 9 pages, and there's no "demo" or anything watermarked in.
Just wanted to let you know!

Thank you, Sarah, I'll be sure to fix it! I have quite a few files that were uploaded that way when I first joined TpT. Finding them has been a nightmare! I appreciate your feedback, and I hope the products meet your students' needs.

Happy Tuesday!

When I download this it comes up as a PDF not a powerpoint. Please help I thought this was a powerpoint. The preview was so I am not sure what it is not working.
thanks!

Beth Hammett the Educator Helper
Hi, Sheri,

All the PowerPoints have been converted to PDF because of copyright issues and for presentation purposes. They look polished once converted to PDF and used in front of audiences. They also print to fit the page once converted to PDF.

To copy the info over to ppt format, save the file. open the pdf and use the copy tool on the toolbar to paste into a new presentation. If this option is not available to you let me know, and I will try to send the file to you in another format.

Thanks for your patronage!

Just wanted to let you know that the preview file for this item is a full 30 pages. Did you accidentally upload the full file and not just a preview? Or maybe not, but I just wanted to ask since your description states that the file is 30 pages long. Feel free to delete this comment after looking at it. Happy weekend! :)

Is there any possibility of getting a powerpoint copy of this? It looks great, but I would rather not have to try to transfer it.

Dear Beth,

My name is Jack Dennison. I am the Editor-in-Chief of www.FunnelBrain.com, an educational website. I am writing to you because the quality of the work you have posted to PTP distinguishes you as a talented author. I am looking for teacher-authors to create custom study review materials for FunnelBrain (on a paid basis, of course).

These study materials would take the form of online flashcards, quizzes, and study guides for high school and college level courses, as well as for certain standardized exams such as the GMAT, the SAT or the GRE. We are also interested in lesson plans built around activities that can take place on www.FunnelBrain.com.

If you are interested in a paid writing assignment, please email me at jack@funnelbrain.com, and I will respond with details on the available assignments. In the meantime, please feel free to browse FunnelBrain.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Jack Dennison
