TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am entering my thirteenth year in public education. I am a nationally Certified Academic Language Therapist, a State Licensed Dyslexia Therapist, and a member of ALTA. Additionally, I hold certificates in Self-Contained Education 1-8, Generalist 4-8, English as a Second Language 4-8, Special Education EC-12 and Reading 1-8, as well as my Gifted and Talented endorsement.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach dyslexia intervention courses through the Take Flight program from Texas Scottish Rite Children's Hospital-Dallas. I completed my academic language therapy training through their Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders, an IMSLEC approved training program. I am the Elementary 504 Coordinator and the Elementary GT Coordinator. I am also teaching primary Gifted and Talented.

I graduated from Tom Bean and received my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A&M-Commerce. I attained my graduate degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studeis from UTA.
