But still on the subject, how do I go about opening the file?... I have a macbook with the Microsoft Office for Mac (powerpoint, word, excel, etc) Is there something else I should have to open it?

Hello, I was wondering if there was an error in this file that you uploaded? It says that it is a .ppt.doc format, which it should only be one of those two. Either a .ppt if it is a powerpoint or a .doc for word document. Could you let me know if there is another way to get this file because I'm really interested in taking a look at it for my advanced Bio 2 kids! I think they'd love it.

Thanks for the email. I try to limit lecture to 20 minutes a day, especially with the 9th graders... try mixing in a review game (I have JEOPARDY games for most topics available on TpT) in which the kids are divided into groups and compete against one another. I also include weekly lab activities to supplement lecure content. Anything to get them up out of there seats and interacting with one another (while remaining on task of course) is key. Remember that they're oftern more likley to learn from one another than they are from their teacher.... What subject are you teaching now? I can discuss specifics with you if you like :) Thank you SO much for your interest!

Its an albino anaconda...you see pics of them all the time attempting to eat prey that big but you never see them get past the shoulders....if it did it would prob kill the snake...just a guess there. It sure does...I think you'll be happy with it. You can always add a slide or 2, but I think it's very complete with regard to CA 8th grade science standards.
